MADRE & MAESTRA es un libro donde se plasman los inicios de la labor de una maestra parvularia. Sus vivencias positivas y negativas, las dificultades que enfrentó al comienzo del camino, la forma en que logró superarlas al transformarlas en lecciones de vida y de las cuales obtuvo grandes satisfacciones. También habla de su rol madre y retrata el dolor ante la pérdida de un hijo, su fortaleza en tres embarazos dobles y la valentía de llevar a término un embarazo de altísimo riesgo, defendiendo su derecho a ser madre y la satisfacción infinita de haber logrado dar a luz a una hermosa niña. Sus primeros tres hijos (dos de ellos gemelos), bien podían pasar trillizos. Integraron un gran equipo, que como todos los niños, hicieron de las travesuras cotidianas una fuente de aprendizaje. “Ser madre & maestra”, es una historia biográfica, cuya trama invita a formar parte de un mundo mágico, a disfrutar en primera fila, la inocencia de un niño.
MADRE & MAESTRA is a book that reflects the beginnings of the work of a kindergarten teacher. Her positive and negative experiences, the difficulties she faced at the beginning of the journey, the way in which she managed to overcome them by transforming them into life lessons and from which she obtained great satisfaction. She also talks about her role as a mother and portrays the pain at the loss of a child, her strength in three double pregnancies and the courage to carry a very high-risk pregnancy to term, defending her right to be a mother and the infinite satisfaction of having managed to give gave birth to a beautiful girl. Her first three children (two of them twins) could well have become triplets. They made up a great team, which, like all children, made daily antics a source of learning. "Being a mother & teacher" is a biographical story, whose plot invites you to be part of a magical world, to enjoy the innocence of a child in the front row.

Lorena Izquierdo C. escritora, coach en Ontología, desde muy temprana edad descubrió su infinito amor por los niños y por ende su trabajo siempre ha estado vinculado tanto a la educación, como a la orientación a padres y cuidadores de infantes en la etapa preescolar, es doctora en Psicología Infantil y Educación Parvularia, magíster en Educación Infantil. Además, ha ejercido varios cargos directivos y honoríficos. Ha participado en actividades de vinculación con la colectividad en el área de su formación, como conferencista y capacitadora del Magisterio Nacional y Madres Comunitarias, durante sus 35 años de docencia y aún continúa. En el área personal, ha logrado mantener un feliz matrimonio, cuatro hijos y seis nietos.
Lorena Izquierdo C. writer, coach in Ontology, from an early age she discovered her infinite love for children and therefore her work has always been linked to both education and guidance to parents and caregivers of infants in the preschool stage. She has a doctorate in Child Psychology and Early Childhood Education, a Master's in Early Childhood Education. In addition, she has held various managerial and honorary positions. She has participated in community outreach activities in the area of her training, as a lecturer and trainer for the National Teachers and Community Mothers, during her 35 years of teaching and still continues. In her personal area, she has managed to maintain a happy marriage, four children and six grandchildren.
